Selbri (“we”) makes Selbri Mixing, a Max for Live device for Ableton Live, and runs the dashboard at app.selbri.ai and this site. This page says what we keep about you, why, and who helps us process it. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use ads or tracking cookies.

What we keep

When you use Selbri Mixing and the dashboard, we store:

  • Your account: your name, your email address and the ID of your sign-in.
  • Connected computers: the name each one was connected under, and when it was connected and last used. The access token itself is stored only as a hash.
  • Your sets: each Live set’s name and where it’s saved on your computer (its file path), its tracks’ names and types, the genre you pick and, on Studio, the reference track it’s mixed toward.
  • Questions and answers: what you ask, the answer, a short summary of the track’s context, and a snapshot of the track when you asked: its levels, peaks and tonal bands, and the devices on it with their settings. Your thumbs up or down, if you give them.
  • Readings: measurements of a track (levels, peaks, crest factor, tonal bands) and the names of the devices on its chain.
  • Change history: the changes you applied through Selbri Mixing, track by track, so they can be built on and undone.
  • Processing records: for each answer, the steps our servers ran, how long they took, which AI model ran them and how many tokens they used. We use them to fix mistakes and to know what the service costs.
  • Your plan and usage: your plan, its trial or subscription status and dates, and how many questions and reference analyses you used this month.
  • Reference tracks (Studio): the file’s name, type and size, and the measurements taken from it (levels and spectra over time). The audio is deleted as soon as it’s measured, and an upload that’s never measured expires from storage within a day. Nothing a song could be rebuilt from is kept.
  • Early access: if you leave your email on this site, we keep it to send you access.

What we don’t take

Selbri Mixing doesn’t record or upload your audio: it sends measurements, not sound. The only audio that reaches us is a reference track you upload yourself. We don’t keep payment card numbers, and we don’t use your music, sets or questions for advertising.

Why we use it

To answer your questions and run the tools; to keep your history so later answers build on earlier ones and changes can be undone; to count questions against your plan; to keep your account secure; and to find and fix problems. We don’t use it for anything else.

Who processes it for us

A few providers run parts of the service. Each gets only what its job needs:

  • Auth0 (by Okta): sign-in. It handles your email address, name and login.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI: they write the answers. Your question and the track’s context (track and device names, settings and readings) are sent to them to work out an answer, and OpenAI also turns questions into embeddings to search our mixing knowledge base. Under their API terms, they don’t use it to train their models.
  • Amazon Web Services: runs our servers, and measures the reference tracks you upload.
  • MongoDB Atlas: our database, where everything listed above is stored.
  • Cloudflare: carries traffic between you and our servers.
  • A payment provider, once billing opens. We’ll name it here before it does.

Where it’s processed

These providers run in the United States and other countries. Your data may be processed outside the country you live in, under their data-protection commitments.

On your computer

Selbri Mixing keeps its connection token and its logs in a folder in your home folder, and a record of each Conductor run so it can be undone after you reopen the set. They stay on your computer.

Cookies

This site and the dashboard use cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember your language. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. Deleting a set in the dashboard removes its questions, answers, readings and change history. Deleting a reference track removes its measurements.

Closing your account deletes everything listed above and disconnects your computers at once. Your sign-in with Auth0 stays, so signing in again starts a new, empty account; write to us if you want it removed too.

Your data, your copy

From your account page at app.selbri.ai you can download everything we keep about you as one file, and delete your account. You can also write to us to see, correct or delete your data, or to object to how we use it; we’ll answer within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the dashboard before the change applies.
